Out of control amphibian

Although this isn’t up and running yet, SpiralFrog is a new site that aims to make legal downloading music free. By using revenue from advertisers it plans to be able to let you download music without charging you for it. A good idea right? Let me know by posting a comment below.

I think it is, although until is starts we won’t know how many record companies have signed up, although Universal Music Group who represent U2 have just agreed a deal. My only worry is whether you’ll have to sit through adverts first or they’ll be embedded into the mp3 or something.

If anyone fancies emailing them to work out what their name is about and what their logo is supposed to be I’d be grateful. I like it though, bit like dizzy cow…

Update: I’ve now emailed them to find out about the name, but no response yet. Like they’ve got better things to do.
