Free Hugs Campaign!

October 1, 2006 · Written by Joel

YouTube and Google Video can but full of rubbish, but this is one of the best videos I’ve seen for a long time. The backing music is “All The Same” by Sick Puppies.

Sick Puppies is an indie rock band from Sydney, Australia. The band was formed by singer/lead guitarist Shimon Moore and bassist Emma Anzai in the music room of Mosman High School in 1997, where the two “greatest outcasts” connected because of their shared love for silverchair. Initially with Shimon on drums and Emma on guitars, the duo would frequently meet up to play Green Day and Rage Against The Machine songs and eventually felt compelled to write their own songs. Soon Chris Mileski was added to the band to fill in on drums.

Superb video; especially the first hug with the aging hobbit - very tender. I wonder how he would have gotten on if he’d been on the tube in London with a card saying ‘free chat’…now that’s an idea!
